| Nov. 30 -- The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency is sponsoring a new Web site that provides assistance to anyone shipping regulated materials across borders. The Compliance Assistance Center deals with compliance with environmental laws. The Web site provides information about importing and exporting a variety of chemicals, including toxic substances and hazardous waste. It also has information on international agreements and regulations, and includes a news section to keep buyers, sellers and transporters aware of new developments. The National Center for Manufacturing Sciences, an EPA grantee, maintains the site. The Web address is www.bordercenter.org/chem/index.cfm. |
