Newfoundland does not have a specific ergonomics regulation. Employers, however, have a general duty to ensure the health and safety of workers at the workplace.
· CHAIRS
When workers have the opportunity to sit, suitable seating must be provided. If most work is done seated, the employer must provide a seat that is properly designed, and a footrest if needed. (Occupational Health and Safety Regulation 1165/96, 17)
