Nova Scotia has no specific ergonomics regulations. All employers, however, have a general duty to ensure the health and safety of their employees.
· LIFTING
When an employee is required to move or lift objects, the employer must provide suitable equipment. The employee must be trained in the appropriate method. (Occupational Safety General Regulations 44/99, 26)
