The employer must ensure that proper PPE is used based on the task being performed, the location and condition of the workplace, and any other hazards present. (Occupational Safety General Regulations 44/99, 9)
The employer must ensure that a worker is trained in the proper use and care of PPE that he or she is required to use. (Occupational Safety General Regulations 44/99, 9)
The employer must ensure that a worker wears PPE properly, the PPE is maintained properly, and that the PPE is inspected before each use. (Occupational Safety General Regulations 44/99, 9)

worker must use PPE as instructed, inspect it before each use, not wear it when
not required and where it would cause a hazard, report any malfunction to a
supervisor, and clean and maintain as instructed. (Occupational Safety General
